ROLE MODELS
When you become a manager or coach at Canton Baseball you become a role model to the youth. A Canton Baseball manager/coach shows character, respect, and compassion for children, parents, umpires, and fans on and off the baseball field. As a manager/coach you should always remember that you are setting an example for youth to learn from. You are not only teaching a child the game of baseball but other life lessons such as: sportsmanship, teamwork, manners, and respect.
TEAM MOM
All Managers in all age groups need to select a Team Mom. A team mom is a vital key in making your job easier as the manager. Your Team Mom must attend the Team Mom meeting held before the season starts to get all the important information to pass along to your parents. A good team mom will help organize & coordinate your team for all events, fundraiser collections, uniform pick up, picture info, and team snack/schedule.
SCHEDULES
Schedules often change due to a previous error or various other reasons. Be sure to check your schedule regularly to avoid a missed game.
RESCHEDULED GAMES
Games will be updated for reschedules on your individual team pages.
PRIOR TO GAMES
Please do all warmups before games in the outfield. Our volunteers work hard each day to provide fresh fields for each day's games. If field is lined, please stay off infield prior to start of game. Also, during pre-game warmups please remind players to stay off foul lines and help rotate their location so we prevent wear in the grass.
CANCELLATIONS
Please tell all your families to make sure they update their contact information as we will send emails and texts messages. You may also check our Facebook page for updates. ALWAYS assume the games are on UNTIL we send out a message they are cancelled.
